With less than 9 hours to go, and due to your overwhelming support, we'd like to share a surprise area we are working on for Zombie Playground: the Treehouse. This is a player's personal 'estate' which includes areas for dressing characters, equipping characters, setting up load-outs, practicing with chosen weapons, and a computer for looking through online stores and data. The plan is also to allow you to decorate this area with acquired items to your liking. While the Treehouse is currently taking a back seat to actual gameplay, and is something we were keeping under wraps for a later reveal, we figured you would enjoy (and deserve) this preview!

Man everything about this game is awesome! Also I don't think kids should have a tree house this awesome haha

I spy with my little eye the head of a familiar looking mascot, haha. Nice concept art. Can't wait to see what the final product will look like later on.

This is just amazing. I'm glad I found this project in the last 24 hours before it closed. Everything I've read about it on the KS site and in other news sources has made me so excited. Zombies or not, the kid aspect of the game is at once nostalgic and awesome. Can't wait to see more from you guys, :). -

I made an account purely because of how awesome this is. Don't get me wrong, I funded a while back, but this is just completely awesome. One question though. Will friends be able to enter our treehouse?

It would be cool if it allows multiple players to hang out in the treehouse before they start a match or something, since it is kinda big for only one person. Doesn't want this awesome treehouse idea to turn into something like the Fable 3's inventory system, where it's hard to equip something. I have a high hope for the game, please keep updating game concepts and ideas, they are so cool. -

You are all right. Our plan is to be able to invite your friends to your treehouse (or vice versa) to just hang out or in preparation for a match. -

NICE, but we wouldn't be forced to use the treehouse to change outfits, and equipments right? It is just an awesome way to hang out, trade and practice with each other ? -

No doubt that with your drawing/painting skills, it will look good. -

There are other ways to equip in-game, but this would be the main way if you're not battling. =)) -

This looks great, and is such an awesome addition to the game!
@Xanax This has definitely stirred the creative juices. I'll see if I can muster up something cool. It will be a new piece though because as an artist it's kind of weird to work over another artists work without permission ;) -
Preview looks great, thanks for sharing this picture even though it will most likely change a lot.
@ Xanax I agree with getting this colored, we should also have some fan creations of tree houses that they'd want as well.
@ Other_Tom I'd like the tree house to be able to customize with skins and decorations for the tree itself. It seems like a good way to make money, because I'd buy skins and items for tree house customization. -
moreso, can they walk down stairs? or do they just fall?

Well I'll call mine G.R.O.S.S (Get Rid Of Slimy girlS) it will with me as dictator for life and a mascot First Tiger. Most importantly we have a club anthem. The awesome refrain is "Ohhohh Groosssss, best club in the cosmos..."

It's from Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson. He does a good job reminding me of the magic of childhood. Another series that does a good job is Yotsubato (AKA Yotsuba&! or Yotsuba in North America) by Kiyohiko Azuma. After all, you are only as old as you are on the inside and although I am a "mature" adult; I refuse to let the child inside die. I hope zombieplayground does a good of that as well. -
