After eating too much you get a debuff that does instead of healing poisons you or gives you a slow effect we can probably call it "Over Dose" or "Withdrawal" for eating 2+ boost items
nice one @Bloodyzombieboy. overdose can kill ya or have somekind side-effect you too @homestuckofhedead i like the soda part that grant haste or some kind speen ect positive thinking you all :D
I was actually trying to say it does both haste and heal. @bloodyzombieboy I think instead the kid becomes a bloated beach ball when they drink too much! XD
I like that idea, being able to interact with things in your environment. Picking up pens/pencil's to stab, baseballs/basketballs to throw/stun, pick up chairs to fend off zombies, etc...
@ Other_Tom out of fashion items could find their way into the game by being in the lost & found? his way rare items from as far back as the schools founding could appear in the pool.
@kdbolk I'd rather use school lunches as an acid trap @homestuckofthedead yes, that brings back memories of KND. Would love to be able to play a collectible card game with it also.
I was thinking mabye they could both be collectibles and money. Or the card could A)show off monsters and be a minigame or B) Be a collectible/money that tells you a various monster's abilities and health. Once you kill a strong one of it you get the card and will know its abilities. I got that idea from lollipop chinsaw, my favorite game right now.
cards could be money or at least a item to trade for better gear, rare cards could grant buffs or be traded in for special items or rare weapons with better stats or passive abilities. another possibility rare cards could be the requirement for unlocking other classes.
Mmm Pokemon cards..... I remember the days in school trading them with my random people just cause trying to get an Abra and a wartortle *lost in reminiscing*
@homestuckofthedead actually it is more just an expansion of the idea. as is the rest of this whole chain of posts and board in general. you threw an idea out there and we are just working the details out of how it might be expanded into actual use. Massive Black will just look at the possible ideas and they will decide what and how they want to implement them, if at all. you suggested using them as money or information on the mobs or bosses. Kudos great beginning of an idea, but as with all ideas they can be further developed and expanded. There is no need to have to pat you on the head or credit you for the original idea every time someone expands on the idea in the same post. I suggested an expansion of the money idea. cards as currency to buy items/upgrades/ect that could be spent at another merchant other then the XP one (Massive Black has already announced). we have all ready seen merit badges as providing bonuses, so the rare card providing passive bonuses idea is just a further expansion of that idea. rare cards used to unlock classes. rare cards as currency for rare items/weapons/ect. I think most MMOs have some form of that idea. WOW is a good example kill a boss get a token to trade in for gear, or collect x number of the tokens to turn in for gear.
Randomly appearing mystery food in the kitchen freezers that either MAX the player's health (cause maybe the school lunch is good one day...and not 500,000 years old hamburger patties) or give them a STOMACHACHE buffer (e.g. decrease in speed, needing to barf randomly during a fight <<< period of vulnerability)
@Brittleheart Yup yup yup, or that...... And you don't know what the effect of the food/slime is until a while later, cause after you eat it you get a 'feeling kind of weird' buffer, then, either an 'invigorated' --> 'energized' (max out health) series of buffers, or a 'feeling kind of queasy' --> 'definitely sick' series of buffers 8)
OH. Being able to break into the science labs and play a minigame after unlocking the supplies closet to create biohazards/chemical bombs to use against zombies. :)
