Ok folks, here's our best foot forward. This is our super early, pre-alpha, prototype, proof of concept, animatic, work in progress, caveat, caveat, caveat game footage. =) Nothing in this footage represents the final game. All the textures, models, animations, and gameplay are place holders. I'll shut up now, time for the moment of truth... (/me crosses fingers).
Looks amazing. I worry that the animation, and especially the player's attacking animation, looks a little clunky. I feel that a little more fluidity, or a 2 or 3 stage attack (swing, backswing, swing) would be more appropriate here, or a way or chaining attack and dodge animations, but the proof will be in the playing, and I am totally looking forward to that. Nice work guys.
Looks great. I agree with everything aDFP said. Also I think you may need to adjust a bit more of the lighting effects. Try not to do too many strobe light effects, just in case you cause someone to have seizure attacks. Maybe too soon to ask about gameplay but I was wondering if there is any relativity to where your attacks connect. Example, the bat hits them in the leg and they go limping and move slower, hit them in the arm and they cannot punch or grab you and smash them in the head and it comes off. Also something that would be hilarious you can take the severed head and chuck it at enemies (similar to the game RUNE (2000))

It's really too early to show, but we feel that people need to at least see we are capable of making a game.
What a lovely thing to come home to after a long day at work. This is some pretty good stuff for just a pre-alpha show reel. Can't wait to see what the final product looks like~

We'll give the closed alpha testers a boost when the game launches. We can't predict what items will need to be reworked so while we'd love to promise you can keep what you earn, some things might change for optimal gameplay purposes.
It's not stalled anymore. The numbers are slowly but steadily going up again -- the class and UI updates seem to have done the trick -- and the project is currently trending towards 105%. With any luck, we'll get there (and beyond). ^_^
Acknowledging that it is a very early sample, I just want to note that I hope the set items are more than flavor. Climbing on things and being able to move stuff is part of an ideal zombie playground to me. Otherwise it's just dressing, gorgeous as it may be. All in all, quite promising. Here's to a stretch goal deus ex machina.
I was wondering how many people will be able to play at a time, are you going to have diferent servers or something? I was also kind of late finding this game and I really want to donate to this amazing idea. however I do realize that I am kind of late unless you guys plan to possibly extend the donation period? i would totaly be willing to sink $400+ into the creation of this game if you would.
its 4 player coop. They cant changed the end date of the kickstarter. You can probably just contact massive black and seek to donate even after the kickstarter is done. There's been some mention of a possible paypal option after.
